Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Coast

A chopper soaring over a well-attended coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, finally dropping height and smashing into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.

Footage posted on social media show the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps close to the shoreline route.

First Aid Details

The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on Saturday.

Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.

What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
